Friday Poetically ~ Get Your Feet Wet
Okay...so Hip hop is the theme of the day today at Onestop Poetry and since it's Friday, and I'm feeling rather poetic, I thought I'd give it a go...be gentle, and play the mix above as you read along. Might be some rhythm in these bones yet!
Dip Your Feet In
Wade in the water
Get your feet wet
Wade in the water
Don't let them take
The power that you are
You're a shooting star
Going far
Don't let them put
Words in your mouth
Tell you what you're about
They don't know that
Dip your feet in

Children don't you know that you gotta dream
And this tired old world 'aint what it seems
So if you just listen and just let it be
You're giving up your power, giving up what it means to...

This is a very inspiring poem , giving a great message that ..its all within us ...its just we have to come out of the comfort zone and do the things we wished to do.
