Fist Pump

Fist Pump

Fist goes boom and wall goes crack
Rage and rant is on attack
Back it up and strip away
Live to rage another day.

Anger serves no purpose here
Through the rage our purpose clear
We must engage our living mind
The truth we seek is ours to find

Fist goes boom and walls fall down
And so our wheel still spins around
As above will be below
What we reap is what we sow

One can't know where anger leads
Once you dare to plant the seed
Heartache, pain and misery
All demon's fed by anger's lead

Fist goes boom and walls are built
Prisons of tremendous guilt
Minds cannot pretend to hold
All the secrets anger's told.

Very nice, yes anger can get people into lots of unwanted trouble, also like how you knocked the wall down and then built it back up, although not really a wall most would want around them..haha

At first, I read the title quickly, and thought it said "FIRST Pump." Not gonna tell you what I was expecting to read...

Love the dichotomy between the fist going boom and your condemnation of anger, and all its negative social effects. First and last stanza's frame your argument and again I think there' a mix of personal and social here, and the search for an engagement of a living mind is critical to both. And even though we must sometimes raise our fist to protest social ills and well as issues in our own lives, we must be careful where that anger leads, or as you say we can't know where it leads. Als always your words are just right and fit rythm and message for a complex whole. Your third verse says it all, and I don't just say that as huge fan of the symbology in it. :) More great and powerful words.
