Waking Up with @NWCreativeUnion & @GothicGlass

Stained glass work has always held a certain fascination for me. I openly confess to time disappearing when I see sunlight filtering through the pieces that decorate the windows of my Blue Room.  Two of the pieces, I am proud to say, are from wonderful Nova Scotian Artisan Angie Chase of Gothic Glass Studios, and today, over at the New World Creative Union, I am featuring her work to see what creative responses are prompted.  You're welcome to play along, or simply give Angie a visit to see some of her fantastic creations. My selected piece for the prompt is her design Birth Goddess in amber.

Ripples

Cast the stone upon the pond of wisdom
the birth of the ripple
ever changing
swallowed by the wave of wanting

Detach now, let go of longing
for wisdom births acceptance
the fact
nothing good, nothing bad
is permanent

The death of the day
the dying light
gives rise to dreams
thought beyond the shadow of the veil
You true voice is birthed
in darkness

The death of the senses
mass weapons trained to assault
reality is a misnomer
undefined
save for your own perception

Out of the darkness
out of this wisdom
the true you finds her courage to shine
and suddenly
YOU
are birthing "reality"
with true knowledge
of your power.

the birth seen in the ripple and the clear mirroring of philosophy, "nothing gold can stay," leads to rebirth in the night. . .of something more, wiser, stronger. good work, natasha :)
