Dark Matter ~ #OpenLinkNight @dVersePoets

Slipstream
particles collide
transference

Realities merge
coupling
sensing the potential

Is this the me you wish to see
Propped up pedestal
trip the switch

Blackness now as you ponder
In the dark there is no sense of my self
which might influence your desire

Shortcut now
space and time need pay no mind
the wormhole trumps their power

Now meek and mild
no more girl gone wild
you knew that taste would sour

Pulsing waves distort my senses
while you decide
where you'll mark your fences

Collar tight, the leash is snug
have you determined
this is love?

The flow was grand
Here in your land
Like the little sc-fi feel
As the feelings became real
And first with my burst
Brian is worst.

Wow, this is awesome: the flow, the concept, the emotional powderkeg. I loved it!

ah pat, i will rue you again...take that....nice thumping beat to your musings...all the particles colliding today...we'll be lucky if nothing explodes...smiles....what is love...that is one we must all figure out...

Really liked this one, Nat; even the rhyme schemes which usually water down the impact of poetics. So bang on with this, when the honeymoon is over, when the wildness is replaced with mundane tasks, when the rut calls more loudly than your lover, can love last? One would hope so. Real love usually replaces lust, warts and all.
I love how this poem builds, Natasha. It makes the poem in my opinion. You are a strong writer and to build this poem the way you did shows you were thinking creatively, and about form and structure. Bravo my friend!
I liked this very much - especially how it built to the ending.

Nice pace and rhythm. I really like the energy that radiates from your poems, and this one is a great example of that.

Off, you are so good at that power punch at the end... love the emotions you explored here...

From slipstream particles to the tightened collar, you take us on a journey through freedom and then to possession...I like the way this races, ending so finally with the big question of love. Nice work. I enjoyed this one.

the simplicity of this short poem has a punch like a leather whip.

Beginning with the Universe (to me...) to the tightness of a collar...from vast freedom narrowed down to ....possession? submission (or hoped for by the one who holds the chain??)

Strong and fierce poem.

often hard to blend simplicity & complexity... oh this poem is loved by me :)

Whoa, Tasha! Incredible strength in acquiescence, confidence in choice to be ruled. The terse quality and quick pace add more power. DO NOT mess with this character!

some love after a while can turn into the wrong kind. Great poem. Tash.

Love the final stanza. It draws everything together so well, and with a real kick. Great write.

It’s always a victory of sorts to see rhyme tried and true.

Is this the me you wish to see
Propped up pedestal
trip the switch

Blackness now as you ponder

I’m such a coward, I’d never tried this.

Great flow... I feel like I just took a magic carpet ride to the soul underneath my soul... I especially liked --

I would say not "love" but definitely control. And not healthy. Have seen at least one young woman get wrapped up in a relationship like this. Definitely not good. Excellent capture, Natasha.

Oooh, dark and lovely, just how I like it. The weaving of physics and the physical appeals to the nerd in me, but beyond that it shows this elusiveness to desire, to the potential limits (or lack of limits) of lust.

I'm pondering these lines...

Hi Natasha,
This is complex and intelligent. I love the scientific references and they way you've linked them to our earthly emotions. Great job. I'll be in touch soon re my photographic piece planned for NWCU. Hope you're well. Hugs, James.

It is all about the expectations of others versus our own goals and desires. I think you found the path. Keep smiling *hug*

Beautiful expression in verse.
