Thanks @CactusNeon for the #CreativeCollaboration

Loose Screws

Twisted
Bent
Warped

I've been accused of stranger things
Doesn't mean it doesn't sting
RING

the bell
I'm here to tell
every secret you bribed me not to

All for you
Every ounce of effort
every drop of blood

Love?

Perhaps for a while it made me smile
but infatuation soon fades
black ace of spades
death of the pheromones
Hormones

More like collateral damage

Tossing off the memories
Jeopardizing subtleties
Exchanging truth for lies

Surprise!

I know it's cause you love me.

Hide the evidence
the laws been spent
Exchanging currency
in a lost economy

Will we survive
this beautiful charade
Before we're made

Forced to confess
cuffed and arrest-ed

on a bed of roses
drowned in a sea split by Moses
a crown of thorns awaits

on my pillow.

Thanks to Matthew Hatt (@CactusNeon) for taking my words and making them a little more colorful. Going up for OpenLinkNight where Claudia will be taking over the pub to host the best poetry party online. Join us at dVersePoets where Mr.Linky will be going live at 3pmEST.

Before we're made...ouch...hard to keep it up you know...felt words when i just released myself in their flow....

great biblical allusions at the end as well...the crown of thorns on the pillow is a hard, but great image to end on...

sitting silent
the shades of certainty
drawn
not tight enough

the light creeps
seeps
through

it never really fades
does it

Peace
Not sure how to say this, but your reading was absolutely sexy - so detached, so "couldn't be bothered." So wonderful - keep posting these recordings I love them and love you. - Mosk

Nicely done to you both! Very cool. Favorite part:

Love?

Perhaps for a while it made me smile
but infatuation soon fades
black ace of spades
death of the pheromones
Hormones

Keep rockin' it, Natasha!

Collateral damage...Yes, that's often what it is, and what it takes, to fall into another and then claw and pull apart to rediscover the self, but then that self is stained with the other...such a dilemma. Great piece here, Tash!

The push-pull, the love-hate, the tango of a relationship all related in this tension packed piece. Great.
Natasha, Hi!

Super poem --

love and its labor at knowing for certain if it is true --

Thanks, Joanie

Your poetry always goes right for the heart, and never misses its mark. Love the power close on this!

Kick out the jam, girl! Loved the voice, the funk, the sound combinations of word and image. You know, you gonna make me break out some sound. This was inspirational. Stay warm! And the use of light I thought was kool, especially as far north where we write most from. Light is very creative.

Whoever put them together, your words: outstanding! Knew just what you were saying...and got into the swing of it all, when your voice spoke this poem.
PEACE!

The biblical allusions at the end were great, and I loved getting to hear it in your voice.
