"Time Lines" ~ A Blue Room Review ~ #poetry

Every once in a while an opportunity is born that allows you to get a first glimpse into the finished product. When James Knight offered me the chance to have a look at his most recent collaboration...I was very excited! Born out of the twitterverse, my favorite place to play and connect, "Time Lines" is a brilliant collection of modern voiced poetry from a wonderful group of writers.

In it's preface, James shares 13 (his favorite number) tweets born from the groups conversations in 140 Characters or less...I want to share #5 with you...

"The world is noisy.  If poetry is going to enter public consciousness it has got to start shouting"

This gave me goosebumps. I think the poets realize this...and never before have so many forums been available to do just that.  It is the poetry of the twitterverse that keeps me there...my heart moved by brilliant observation, pain, love...all delivered in in 140 characters or less.  If anyone ever needed proof of the power of words...a day spent following the amazing wordweavers that grace the twitterverse is all you need. OR...a copy of this collection...where those very tweets have produced amazing pieces that speak to pain, love, life, humor and tears.

At the heart of this collection, is the connection...six poets...coming together out of the shared love of words, from all points of the globe.  "Time Lines" is a fantastic example of the brilliance that for too long has not had a medium...James Knight has done a fantastic job in editing and presentation...and I have to admit...it was an absolute pleasure to fall into...and my hope for poetry taking over the world has been restored.  Want to know what else is really neat...it's going to be available today...you just have to click the link...right HERE.

As an added bonus...and because this collection is worth five stars and beyond...I'm sharing the authors and their twitter handles here...click on them...they're linked to make following super easy for you. Let's come together and really make sure this fantastic voice of poetry...shaping and evolving as we tweet...gets the recognition it deserves...we're not going to change the world with poetry by staying quiet.  Ready?  On your mark...get set...go
