TGIF ~ Campfire Season
Though we've yet to light the first log, I can already smell the smoke and inspiration that comes with a good campfire.
Stories, conversation, cold drinks and hot marshmallows. Who doesn't love the setting,even if a summer breeze blows the smoke in your eyes.
This will be my first summer in Ontario. Already, the roads have revealed to me awesome spots to hunker down next to a good fire. The lakes have opened, the insects are buzzing and the plant life is blooming. I may have sacrificed the northern lights, but nothing speaks to me like ancient, towering pines and forests that smell like home. From here...home is just a road-trip away, and I can't wait to plan it round the fire.
