We woke up to war today.

I hope you've not slept through it.

It was not our sky that was bleeding.

And from this distance, you can almost believe it isn't happening.

But we did...

Hard to fathom

In this age of woke-ness

We could wake up to this.

But the fossils are buried

The egos are not

Crude to think

It could have been avoided.
