For me, there is nothing better than receiving a new book of poetry in the mail.  As soon as my eyes glance upon the envelope, I know what it is, and I race home from the mailbox to unwrap the words.

Postmarks-Poetry by mark Stratton, did not disappoint.  This little chap book, offered for a steal at mark's blog Radio Nowhere is a fantastic little read.  The layout is beautifully presented, the cover is appealing, and the writes...well, quite honestly, they blew me away.

mark, as a poet, has always impressed me with the power of his shorter writes.  This is an author who doesn't need a page to get his point across.  His delivery is honest, hard hitting, and powerful, as witnessed in Eavesdropping but there is also a surprising tenderness to his work, as evidenced in the books fantastic finale, Flight.

This small collection is a must read! Come on...it's not like it's going to break the bank!
