Strange Days Are Upon Us

Strange Days are Upon Us
When once I could call these walls home
And feel safe wrapped within their embrace
But the temple knows not where her subjects travel
To overcome this frightening pace.
Decay and rot are what remains
And rogue spirits who want to linger
But no support could hold her up
That would allow our souls to linger
A change of hands too quick to see
And suddenly homeless we have become
We are the poets with eyes to see
A legacy come undone.
To greener pastures the flock does flock
Forgetting their own lush beds
Where safe and sound we all could hide
From these voices in our heads.
But alone are we, we see that now
The only safe harbour a temporary one
We are the poets with eyes to see
A legacy come undone.
Strange days are upon us
This we can no longer deny
The time has come to take the stage
And let our silence die.
The time has come to take the stage
And let our silence die.
Strange days are upon us indeed! There are big changes coming at Onestop Poetry, and Adam and Chris have announced this will be their last "One Shoot Sunday". In honor of that, I may be late to post, but I certainly didn't want to miss it. Special thanks as well to Neil Alexander, who is spotlighted this week. His images are amazing! Have a visit with us to learn more!

Only time will see what that brings
You state the leaving and loss great
Even though not an appealing fate
Push on and keep posting at your tour
And those voices will hoepfully not be silent anymore
We are the poets with eyes to see
A legacy come undone.
Strange days are upon us
This we can no longer deny
The time has come to take the stage
And let our silence die.
Your capture the spirit of the picture and perhaps the decline to come in Man's future!
Once again you express hopes for the artists among us to "save" us. I like that.
Or, to put all of the above in a more concise way:
"Good 'un."
