Speak to Me ~ #poetry by @Tashtoo
Speak to Me
Skin to skin, your
magic voice
Speak to me of poetry
In metaphor and simile
Words that beat in tune with heart
Words ignite a lover’s spark.
Upon your chest I rest my hand
Your beating heart, the words command
You steal the shadows, you bring the light
My wordsmith warrior, burning bright.
Behind your mind I like to hide
Under your charge I can reside
In your words, my fears will cower
To drink your voice,
in thirst devour
A Sunday morning, late in bed
Whispered words dance in my head
Lost to your words, I lose my choice
Speak to me of poetry
In metaphor and simile
Weave your spell, enchant your muse
I am here for you to use.
Joy (@hedge_witch) is prepping the bar for another fantastic night of poetry. It's OpenLinkNight at dVersePoets! Hedge is weaving her magic and will have the doors open at 3pmEST.

My God Tash.... this is brilliant.... I've never heard your voice, but I swear I can hear you reading this...

As you spoke and it continued to flow
Think you hit every note
So surely has my vote
As one of your best
And nope, I don't jest
nicely delivered tash ;)

Wrapped up in the language and tone of this piece. In a word "Sweet!!!"
"Weave your spell, enchant your muse
I am here for you to use."

I think it is the rhyme in this one that is the thingamabob that does that job. It's a real incantation...

My wordsmith warrior, burning bright.............Awesome!
Poetry just, it envelops you. In a totally awesome way. And your poem captured that. Excellent work.
