The Flow ~ MeetingTheBar ~ dVersePoets
If silence were to be found easily
I would need not seek escape
within the dusty and cluttered confines
of a tired mind.
At the hands of the routine
or lack there of
the constant noise provides
constant rapids of chaos
White water running away
filtering, buffering, monitors
pointing directly at me
to be sure I do not miss my cue
Ah...there it is
lost beneath the rumble of reruns
a dog desperate to destroy ear drums
a child who cries hungry...but isn't
First a bubble
then a strand
liquid, molten, shaping to fit
moving obstacles
blocked thoughts
hidden ideas
until finally
inspiration is found
in the Flow.
Would you judge me if I told you I love to completely zone out to my lava lamp? Still glowing strong after all these years! Victoria asked us to capture a moment, feel the now, and considering I'm ending my day in typical fashion, thought I'd share with you MY trick for mind quiet. Give us a visit at dVerse where MeetingTheBar is in full swing. Are you up for the challenge?

As good as layers of coloured sand changing shapes?
I'd forgotten about them.
You're lucky that you can't count planes flying over at one minute intervals as your mood disturbers.
"Ah...there it is
lost beneath the rumble of reruns
a dog desperate to destroy ear drums
a child who cries hungry...but isn't"
And the whole last section, the lava lamp Flow metaphor. So awesome. :)
